Mother/ Daughter Weekend 2008

Kayla and I go to Camp Mack every year for a Mother/ Daughter weekend. This is our girl time since she's the only girl of 5. This weekend is about spending time together. We do a LOT of crafting and learn new things every year. This year we even did some baking. This was our third year and we just LOVE it. Camp Mack is a special place, spiritual. This was the flier this year. It's a picture of Kayla from the year before. She was so excited she kept saying 'I'm famous'.

This year the theme was Grandma's Attic.

Some of our church family came.
The two years before Kay and I had went alone.
It was nice to have some friends along.

This is the group singing with our bunny ears on.

Mother/ Daughter Weekend 2008

We marbled paper,

Molded Chocolates,

And even learned how to crochet.
I was working on my quilt.

We talked a lot about Peter Rabbit.
Here's Kay holding the live bunny they brought in.

They have a ton of deserts and tea, of course.

This is a small loom that we made bookmarks with.

Camp Singing Hills

Kay went to Camp Singing Hills this summer.
It's a girl Scout camp.
She LOVED it! I wasn't sure she'd like it.
They slept in platform tents in the woods.
It was a little more 'outdoorsy' then Camp Mack.

Kayla's Girlscout Fun

Kay and I went to a sock hop. We had a good time. I'm not really old enough

to actually know the dances so we did the only one I know, The Twist.

My Dad took Kayla to the 'Him and Me Dance'. It was so cute. It was a semi

formal. Kay had a wrist corsage and Dad a lepel flower. And dinner!

She got Girl Scout patches for both events.
